In the cultivation of vegetables, more and more growers choose mineral wool or coconut mats. In the ornamental plant, modern farms are growing in containers or in pots on concrete floors or tables. Floating lettuce and herb crop growing are becoming even more fully automated. Growing off the ground makes the crop more controllable, resulting in higher yields, more equality and better quality. Cultivation and logistics are therefore more efficient. And, moreover, unwanted emissions of fertilizers and plant protection products to the environment are easier to prevent.
